Tony leads the architecture and engineering efforts at Plasmatic Technologies, including the development of the Alana connected home system and device family. As an experienced systems engineer with a dual specialization in electronics and energy systems, Tony has led multi disciplinary teams working on a range of projects, from enterprise technology improvement initiatives to consumer device product and technology development. As an active champion within standards groups Tony’s focus is on making technology easier for consumers. Earlier in his career, during his tenure as a service architect and lead engineer at TELUS, one of Canada’s leading telecommunications companies, Tony was directly involved in the emerging Future Friendly Home initiative, with a focus on Home Control and Connectivity, as well as Wireless Data. More recently at Powertech Labs, Tony played an instrumental role in building out a Smart Energy practice, and helped the organization understand the intersections among large power systems, connected devices, and consumer needs. Tony loves finding ways to make his home more automated and adapted to his needs.
