We provide a low-code software tool for developers to quickly create communication applications. It uses the Twilio platform.

Tell us about yourself?

I’m a computer engineer by profession and have always been interested in communication type applications.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Follow your interests and try and go as fast as possible.

What problem does your business solve?

Communication applications are not easy to develop. We have made building Voice/SMS/Email applications easier – especially voice applications.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

My first startup was in the business of offering lower cost Voice communications to consumers and small businesses. I was the only developer. I found myself coding the same kind of telephony features over and over.

Although, there were differences to warrant coding. And, it seemed to be a bottleneck for the business – speed of deploying new features. I thought, “What if I can make building more like putting together LEGO blocks?”

That’s what started ProjectOne – the need to make building Voice apps faster and easier.

What is your magic sauce?

We have a runtime “scripting” language that is so simple and intuitive. Furthermore, it is extensible. A developer can write a few short lines and create a phone system.

In addition, there’s a way to write ZERO lines of code by using existing scripts and overriding any aspect of functionality by updating a value in the database. It’s a HIGHER level software layer.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Almost every company in the world has a phone system.

We would like developers everywhere to leverage our platform in order to evolve their company’s phone system to offer more functionality.

From enabling speech to integrating their backend data, so callers can do so much more.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Our biggest challenge has been working on this part time while we work full time for an employer. Thus, financing has been a challenge.

How do people get involved/buy into your vision?

We want developers to use our platform.
