Navis is on a mission to facilitate women’s passage through the challenges of menopause, offering unwavering support and companionship. We are resolutely committed to ensuring that no woman embarking on this transformative journey feels isolated or misunderstood. Navis has developed an innovative AI-powered application that empowers women experiencing menopause with comprehensive knowledge, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and a caring community of like-minded women.

Tell us about yourself?

As a female physician (MD) and a businesswoman, I have consistently advocated for gender equality and the enhancement of women’s health. With NAVIS, I am merging two of my greatest passions—healthcare and women’s empowerment—to introduce an innovative solution for women navigating the challenges of menopause.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

If I could go back in time a year or two, I would advise myself that making a difference in the world begins with self-improvement. Only after you have developed your own strength can you effectively empower and support others.

What problem does your business solve?

Many menopausal women do not effectively manage their symptoms, resulting in a detrimental impact on their quality of life. They often experience isolation and a lack of support while dealing with the challenges of menopause, placing them at risk for major depression and other cognitive disorders. At Navis, our mission is to tackle these issues.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

In both my professional work within the field of women’s health and my personal life, I have had the opportunity to connect with numerous women. Through these interactions, I have witnessed the many challenges and issues that women encounter, often overlooked or dismissed by society. It became evident to me that we, as women, should take the initiative to address these challenges and seek solutions tailored to our unique experiences. We must expand our understanding of these issues and collaborate to find solutions that empower us, for us, by us.

What is your magic sauce?

Our magic sauce is harnessing the incredible potential of community and empathy. With the help of AI, we’re able to connect women going through the same stage of menopause and facing similar challenges, enabling them to support and learn from one another’s experiences.
Furthermore, we are committed to shining a light on the frequently ignored aspect of mental health throughout the menopause journey. Once again, AI stands by our side as we offer women a CBT-based chatbot to help manage the psychological symptoms associated with menopause.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

We won’t rest at this point. Our goal is to broaden our support and extend our efforts to encompass various aspects of women’s well-being. We are committed to delivering a comprehensive approach to women’s health that has the potential to profoundly alter the way the world perceives this matter and its significance.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Unfortunately, numerous topics in women’s health are still considered socially taboo, and the resulting stigma often obstructs the open dialogue and free expression necessary for us to validate our concept and refine our approach. Nevertheless, our goal is to tackle this challenge and drive change ourselves.
