Joey Postma: WordPress Design and Development Shop

Command Base is a WordPress design and development shop – we help our clients find custom solutions to their digital problems. We’ve worked at agencies for over 15 years creating beautiful websites for big corporations. We now offer those same big beautiful websites and quality of work to our clients for a fraction of the price. We’ve been able to cut a lot of the typical agency overhead and thus are able to offer the same solutions to small and medium size businesses.

Tell us about yourself?

All throughout my younger years I knew studying business at university would be the right direction for me. Until I took that one mandatory computer science class in web development. It changed everything I thought I knew and I’ve never looked back. After completing my schooling in computer science I worked at various agencies for nearly 15 years before stepping out on my own. Now a few years later I own my own company and employ like minded people who help me find solutions for our clients.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

What problem does your business solve?

Command Base provides its clients with custom digital solutions to bring their product to their clients. We want to know who your clients are and how we can solve their problem using your product. That way we can develop a solution that speaks to your client and ultimately gets you more business.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

Our agency attempts to bridge the gab between small to medium sized businesses and big corporations. We provide the same online solutions as a big agency at a fraction of the price. We love to know your story and help you business shine online with a professional website.

What is your magic sauce?

We don’t have a fancy shiny boardroom to receive you in, in fact we are fully remote and all work from home. This reduces our overhead and thus allows us to charge less to our clients. Through our connections we attempt to put together the exact team that our clients need for their project. We offer a full solution with a single point of contact.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Over the next five years we’ll continue to grow the company and help more businesses solve their online needs. Even though the entire world is moving online and it can be a very daunting experience to venture out into this space. We are here to help our clients transition from a brick and mortar store to having a digital presence.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

The overwhelming need for our service has made us expand very rapidly. The biggest challenge is finding the right talent to join our team.
