Marvin Lefebvre

Marv was named President and Country Manager, Clean Harbors Canada in July 2015 as part of the Company’s plan to carve out its energy-related segments. He was previously the President, Oil & Gas Field Services. Prior to the Company’s acquisition of Eveready on July 31, 2009, Mr. Lefebvre was Vice President, Operations of Eveready since March 2005. Prior to March 2005, Mr. Lefebvre was the President and Chief Executive Officer of the former River Valley Energy Services Ltd., the predecessor to River Valley Income Fund, from July 2002 until the completion of the reorganization of that entity into River Valley Income Fund. Mr. Lefebvre was also the director and sole shareholder of River Valley Construction Ltd. from 1988 to 2000 and the President and a director of River Valley Contracting Ltd. and River Valley Drilling Inc. from 2000 until its amalgamation with its parent company, the former River Valley Energy Services Ltd.

Kirk was named President, Oil & Gas Field Services in July 2015 as part of the Company’s plan to carve out its energy-related segments. Kirk was previously Senior Vice President, Lodging Services. Kirk joined Clean Harbors in 2009, following the Company’s acquisition of Eveready. He served in executive positions in Finance before assuming his leadership role in Lodging Services. Kirk earned a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting and Finance degree from University of Alberta and is a Certified Internal Controls Auditor (CICA).

Barry Johnson
President of Ionic Solutions
Barry Johnson is a Founder and the Director and President of Ionic Solutions Ltd. Prior to the formation of the Company, Barry was the President and CEO of Bunker Energy Ltd., Vice President of Engineering for Avalanche Energy Ltd., and Executive Vice President of Colony Energy Ltd. A professional engineer in the Province of Alberta, Barry has over 30 years of experience in the petroleum industry, with 15 years at the executive level. He is the past President of Parkinson Society Canada and currently serves as a member of the board of directors of a Calgary based engineering service company. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists, and Geophysicists of Alberta.

Azaroghly Yazdanbod
Vice President, Research of Ionic Solutions
Azar Yazdanbod is a Founder and the Vice President, Research of Ionic Solutions Ltd and the innovator of the patented technology, Capacitive Desalination. He has a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering, from the University of Houston, Texas. Azar has 30 years of engineering experience in earth sciences, physics, fluid flow analysis, dynamic analysis, and water projects and has been involved in managing many complex projects. Azar started his personal research into technology for desalinating sea water in 1999. Since then, in addition to his extensive review of technical literature and theoretical studies, Azar has dedicated himself to analytical research and conducted hundreds of tests to determine the behavior of ions in electric fields.

Dan Balaban

Dan is the Founder, President and CEO of Greengate Power Corporation. Based in Calgary, Dan is an accomplished entrepreneur and management consultant with a proven track record of successful business ventures. Dan has a wide range of business experience. Prior to starting up Greengate, Dan was the Founder, President and CEO of Roughneck.ca Inc., a leading provider of software solutions to the Canadian oil and gas industry. Prior to his tenure with Roughneck.ca, Dan worked as a management consultant with Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Dan was a Senior Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was a key member of the firm’s management consulting practice. Dan graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science. He is a member of the boards of the Pembina Institute and the Independent Power Producers Society of Alberta. Dan is also a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization and is a founding member of the Alberta Clean Electricity Coalition. Dan has received recognition for his business and community accomplishments, making the list as one of Avenue magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2009, named one of Alberta’s 50 Most Influential People 2010 by Alberta Venture magazine, and the Cleantech category winner of Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2012 Prairies.
