Nelson Petracek brings close to 20 years of experience to his customers. A strong technology evangelist, Nelson specializes in the areas of messaging, microservices, cloud and on-premise integration, event-driven architectures, operational intelligence, and event processing. Able to bridge the gap between business and IT, Nelson works with his customers to identify and define the appropriate use of various technologies and architectures. Prior to TIBCO, Nelson acted as a senior director within Informatica Corporation’s Enterprise Technologies group, and has held consulting roles with a number of companies across various verticals – delivering solutions for the next stage of digital business.

David Martin
Executive Chairman and CTO of Nureva
Mr. David A. Martin co-founded Smart Technologies, Inc. in 1987 and served as its Chairman from April 30, 2012 to April 17, 2014. Mr. Martin co-founded SMART Technologies ULC in 1987 and served as its Chairman. From 1987 to 2002, he served with Smart Technologies in various other capacities including Chief Executive Office, President and Chairman. He was responsible for establishing and communicating the strategic direction of it, as well as creating and maintaining corporate alliances and partnerships. He is an industry leader with over 30 years’ experience in high-technology management and development. He served as the Chairman of Smart Technology, Inc. Mr. Martin served as the Executive Chairman and a Director of Mercatus Technologies Inc. (formerly Springboard Retail Networks, Inc.). He served as the Executive Chairman of Smart Technologies Inc. since January 2007 until April 30, 2012, and served as its Director from 1987 to April 17, 2014. He served as a Director of Micralyne, Inc. He has served as a member of the Expert Panel on Canada’s Role on International Science and Technology, part of the Prime Minister’s Advisory Council on Science and Technology. He is a member of the Leaders’ Forum on Innovation organized by the Conference Board of Canada and the Board of Management of the Alberta Economic Development Authority. He is recognized worldwide as an expert in distance collaboration and is the author of a number of articles and papers on the subject of working and learning at a distance. He is the named inventor on a number of U.S. patents and patent applications pending in the U.S. and around the world. He has received many awards for his contributions to the industry, including the Alberta Centennial Medal for High-Tech Innovation. He received the 2004 Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATAAlliance) Award for Private Sector and Leadership in Advanced Technology in recognition of his outstanding technological innovation and corporate leadership. Mr. Martin is also a member of the Society of Information Displays. He is a founding member of the Calgary Council of Advanced Technologies (CCAT). He has a degree in applied mathematics.

Steve Liang
Founder & CTO of SensorUp
Dr. Steve Liang completed a bachelor of science in Surveying Engineering at National Cheng-Kung University, Taiwan in 1999, and earned his doctorate in Earth Space Science at York University, Toronto in 2007. During his doctorate studies, he contributed to the development of one of the first virtual globe systems in the world, called GlobeView. GlobeView was later commercialized by GeoTango Corp., and subsequently acquired by Microsoft in 2005.
