Mike Massecar
Senior Manager, Major Projects of Pembina
Since joining Pembina in 2002, Mike has held the positions of Manager, Integrity Programs and Manager, Integrity and HSE. Most recently, as Senior Manager of Major Projects, Mike was responsible for the successful completion of Pembina’s Nipisi and Mitsue pipeline projects. In his current role, Mike leads the Major Projects group whose focus is firmly on future growth. By adopting best practices and finding efficiencies, the team has a track record of constructing large-scale, complex projects in a way that maintains the company’s relationships with stakeholders and meets and/or exceeds regulatory and environmental requirements – all on time and on budget. Major Projects is also responsible for all pipeline engineering oversight. Mike received his Bachelor of Engineering from Carleton University in 1975 and has over 35 years of engineering experience in the industry. Prior to joining Pembina, Mike worked in various midstream leadership roles in companies such as Williams Energy Canada, TransCanada, Gibson Energy, and Home Oil Company.
