Tell us about yourself?

I am coming from Pakistan. Has been running an HR Consultancy in Dubai, UAE and were looking after HR Audits, Recruitment and Business Immigrations for Europe.

When I came to Canada, I found out that the driving industry is serving the people in a befitting manner as everyone coming to Canada need to be on wheels as quick as possible.

I wanted to be the part of this service and hence I did all required courses to become a driving instructor and eventually I started my own driving school.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

I need to remain proactive in everything like I always was.

What problem does your business solve?

I figured out the way people were being trained on the rules of driving which seemed confusing. I modified my way of teaching and made it interactive by ensuring participation by the students and by giving the logics about each and every rule as I believe that if we understand the rule behind the laws, we obey them in a better way and follow them with conviction.

Moreover, I made the lessons pleasant and ensured that the lesson time should not be felt by the instructor and by the student.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

I tried to solve the issues faced by different Instructors and students with regards to the rulings and traffic laws. I found out that many people are living with misconceptions about the traffic laws and I am trying to train the safe students and the aim is to bring good drivers on road who aim at learning the driving instead of focusing on the test results.

What is your magic sauce?

I keep the lessons pleasant, infuse the confidence and ensure that my student never fails. Moreover, the moment I see that the student is ready for the test and is confident on road, I stop giving extra lessons just to take their money. My tag line is “Don’t waste

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

I want to spread the branches of my School in all major cities of Ontario before heading towards other provinces.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. I believe that we have to face problems in all walks of life in start but if you are consistent, nothing stands in front of you.

How do people get involved/buy into your vision?

I aim at the educated people and convince them to join the team as the way you deal with your client, is the actual reflection of you.
