CogniFrame is a Quantum Industry pioneer and builds Near and Hybrid Quantum applications that help solve some of the most complex computational challenges facing the Financial & Health Services vertical.

Tell us about yourself?

I am a former corporate executive who has been a serial entrepreneur since 2006. CogniFrame started as an AI/ML company in 2016 before pivoting to quantum during 2017-18. Refer more information at: www.linkedin.com/in/visweswaran

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Not to focus on fund raising and focus on bringing on customers. Fund raising is a full time job and reduces time available for customer acquisition.

What problem does your business solve?

CogniFrame uses Near Quantum and Quantum Computing approaches to solve complex optimization, NP Hard, machine learning and simulation problems primarily for the financial services and health vertical. Watch the interview here that provides more details: https://youtu.be/NdUupdo58r4

What is the inspiration behind your business?

CogniFrame’s solutions address problems that are intractable or sub-optimally addressed by classical computing with focus on health and financial verticals.

Quantum was very new and not mainstream four years ago. It is still nascent but in the news. Some of the problems we solve include reducing time and cost for drug discovery, machine learning improvements, combinatorial optimization problems, etc.

What is your magic sauce?

Quantum Computing is still nascent and enterprises have to navigate through several types of technologies without a clear understanding of what would sustain in the future as things evolve.

CogniFrame has launched FirstQ, the worlds first plug and play quantum app store. It is the only one of its kind anywhere currently.

FirstQ infrastructure includes a Simulated Bifurcation Machine (SBM) from Toshiba and a 100 Qubit Gate Quantum simulator. The app store supports a number of pre-curated use cases enabling the de-risking of adoption of quantum by enterprises.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

CogniFrame aims to grow the FirstQ store adding support for a number of pre-curated use cases to truly support a plug and play experience for a wide variety of customers.

Our focus is on commercializing our intellectual properties through strategic partnering including multiple joint ventures to drive rapid market entry and adoption.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Quantum is still nascent. The biggest challenge is the absence of a trained resource ecosystem. We have had to hire smart people and train them on quantum. This is time consuming but unavoidable.

How do people get involved/buy into your vision?

Quantum is the future. FirstQ helps institutions de-risk their adoption of Quantum.
