Tell us about yourself?
My name is Sergey, I am the sole founder and investor of my social network. I was born in Moscow, I have two higher educations and a degree in economics.
The market of mobile applications, including for dating, attracted me first of all with its huge growth potential and impressive monetization, judging by the statistics of other dating projects.
Everyone knows such dating applications as: Badoo, Tinder, which have a capitalization of billions of US dollars.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
Never give up, find and promote your unique dating functionality.
What problem does your business solve?
In the modern world, people do not have enough time to meet in real life, we offer a virtual dating platform.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
Easy communication of people for dating. We give each user the opportunity to create their own thematic group for business or entertainment.
Using the internal payment system, you can safely buy or sell your goods. Each user has the opportunity to earn money by participating in our loyalty program, which is built into our application. For each user you invite to our network – we pay $!
What is your magic sauce?
Our “magic sauce” in :
- The uniqueness of the functionality (dating, groups, who is nearby, the possibility of earning, an internal payment system, unique encryption)
- Not standard design
- Fault-tolerant and scalable back-end platform
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
Plans for 5 years are to cover the maximum number of users, to attract them to our social network. Start a massive advertising campaign of our dating network, start earning a steady income.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
In our project, we faced several global problems. First, our development team had to find many unique software and hardware solutions for our functionality.
The second hard problem is competing with the “monsters” of it dating business: badoo, tinder, mamba, etc. Large advertising budgets required!
Our team is most frustrated by the biased negative attitude towards our project from US app stores. Our team has nothing to do with the war in Ukraine, and we are for peace!
We are a Russian development team, our project was created and based in Russia. And because of this, Google and Apple corporations oppress us in their stores.
For example, Google, which owns the largest app store Play Market, has limited all payments (internal purchases) with Russian debit cards. We have lost part of our income.
Google is systematically blocking our apps for made-up reasons for not following content rules, specifications, etc. There have been instances of our account being blocked for a store with money in our account.
All the money stored on our account when the account is blocked, Google keeps to itself. These are the terms of the user agreement for Google developers. In our understanding, these actions are called robbery! But complaining to no one is useless. Corporations don’t care about small business!
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
Despite all the difficulties in the development of our project, people like our project. Even in the absence of advertising campaigns, we have already attracted more than a million users to our social network. We work hard for customers!
