Tell us about yourself?

I have been a long time entrepreneur from selling golf balls as a kid to making websites as a teenager. In school I studied psychology which has been very useful for customer service and ecommerce. Ultimately we started this company because we wanted this type of specialized furniture for ourselves and it was not very accessible online at the time.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

lock in contract prices for logistics and operations! Fluctuations in pricing is difficult to manage.

What problem does your business solve?

We help people get more out of their living space. Sometimes it just convenience like being able to lift up your coffee table to lap height so you can work at ease or eat meal at your sofa. Other times it is converting a guestroom into a functional office without having to lose that guestroom in the form of a wall bed desk system.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

The inspiration is people and making them feel more comfortable in their homes. We not only want our customers to feel happy with their products we also love it they will impress their friends with them.

What is your magic sauce?

We are a bit more personable than a rapid checkout online store that is all automated. Our staff our knowledgeable and actually use our products

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

We want to educate people on furniture and how it can be so much better than ancient designs that have not been updated. So much brain power has gone into software and digital tech but furniture has been missing innovation. It might take more than 5 years but we plan on increasing awareness of what we do.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Like many, supply chain issues have been difficult in getting productions completed on time. We had to adapt and produce a different mix of items than we had anticipated but we managed.
