Our mission is to help software and technology companies scale from startup and early-stage to profitable enterprises by sourcing the Product, Marketing & Sales leadership talent they need to build strategic teams that drive growth.

Tell us about yourself?

I was born in England, but grew up and was educated in Canada. I have been a Recruiter for over 40 years and specialize in helping early-stage software companies build the teams that drive growth (product, sales and marketing).

My first professional job was in recruitment and I have been hooked ever since. What I like most is the blend of working with people around a desirable goal, getting to help someone improve their career and that the pay is entirely based on your success.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Really focusing on “what problem does your business solve.” Find your niche and spend more time honing those specific skills and addressing that specific market.

Hiring the right people, particularly in leadership roles.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

I am inspired by the startups we partner with. Startups will change the world with their disruptive technology – getting to market their story to attract amazing talent and watching their growth is a continual inspiration.

What is your magic sauce?

Our team! Everyone has a role to play and works hand-in-hand to deliver a seamless hiring experience.

We break down the various components of recruiting and have experts who specialize in each one. Each Recruiter is also supported by a Researcher as research is very time-consuming and Recruiters need to be spending their time having in-person meetings with candidates.

Then there is our marketing that creates content tailored to our client personas which drives engagement and brand awareness.

Our SDRs reach out directly to companies with relevant messaging to start building the relationship so when the time comes to hire mission-critical roles, we are top of mind. Our Account Managers own the relationship with our clients and ensure they have a great experience.

From inbound to filled roles, we ensure our clients and candidates receive a seamless and white-glove service experience.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Continue to expand our business into the US and become recognized as the top Product Management Recruitment firm for SaaS companies.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Originally I thought I’d hire seasoned Recruiters who would be able to do it all (run a typical 360 model), but I’ve found that hiring less experienced people and giving them the chance to develop skills in various areas (Research, Recruitment, Account Management, Sales) has proven to be more successful.

How do people get involved/buy into your vision?

When we share our story and passion for helping startups scale as well as all the cutting-edge products our clients have created, there is generally a spark of excitement.
