Randy is the one of the architects of the OPC UA specification, a Principal Software and Security Architect for the OPC Foundation, and the chair of the OPC UA Security Working Group. He has 28 years’ of experience working with various types of distributed systems used in industrial automation. Randy has been an active contributor to OPC specifications for the last 15 years and has developed numerous OPC based solutions for different industrial automation companies. Randy is also the Chief Security Architect with Sparhawk Software, a company that provides design, development and training around OPC UA.

Tommy Ka Kit Ngai
Director, Research Learning of CAWST
Tommy holds a PhD in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge (UK), and a MEng in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research focuses on designing appropriate water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) technologies, including the Kanchan Arsenic Filter, and formulating sustainable WASH program policies. He mentors practitioners to implement WASH programs using the best available research knowledge, and supports academics to conduct research relevant to the practitioners’ needs. He has traveled to Haiti, Peru, Zambia, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Cambodia, and Lao to assist CAWST clients to conduct research projects which lead to evidence-based recommendations. His other key role at CAWST is to measure, analyze, and report the organization’s performance, according to best practice in monitoring and evaluation. Before joining CAWST in 2005, Tommy was a Lecturer at MIT, and a Program Manager with an NGO in Nepal.
