Mr. Klompas is Zymeworks’ Chief Financial Officer, and brings over 20 years of healthcare and biotechnology experience to Zymeworks’ management team. Additionally, in conjunction with the CEO, he manages Zymeworks’ corporate growth initiatives including corporate alliances, licensing and partnerships. Prior to joining Zymeworks he worked with KPMG LLP in Canada and the US, most recently with KPMG’s Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology and Medical Device M&A Transaction Services practice in Princeton NJ, where he advised on numerous transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and strategic alliances. Prior to that, Mr. Klompas worked with KPMG’s Canadian Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals practice in the fields of assurance, valuations and taxation. Nizar Bharmal is a renowned Certified General Accountant with over 30 years of well-merited accomplishments in his field. He was granted the professional designation of CGA in 1980. Early in his career he worked in the real estate development and investment field. From 1982 until 1985 Mr. Bharmal was Manager of the Bomarc Group, a management company providing services for reporting companies. In 1985, Mr. Bharmal passed the Canadian Securities Course with honors and founded Nizar Bharmal Inc. as a public practice dedicated to providing an array of accounting services, including Canadian and US taxation, financial consulting and corporate management for reporting companies. During his career, he has served as CEO and CFO for several publicly listed companies, where he has gained deep insight into both operations and regulatory affairs. Mr. Bharmal’s extensive association with and commitment to local business communities has resulted in admiration and confidence from many of his colleagues.

Christopher Hopton
Chief Financial Officer of Sirona Biochem
Christopher Hopton is Sirona Biochem’s Chief Financial Officer. He brings 25 years of expertise in financial management and operations. His extensive experience covers areas of financial planning, accounting policy and business process improvement. As a business investment and finance consultant, Mr. Hopton has worked with several public and privately-held companies. Most recently, Mr. Hopton was the Chief Financial Officer of Central Resources Corp., a junior mineral exploration company. Formerly, he held the position of Division Controller at Canadian Airlines where he was responsible for an annual operating budget of $200M. Mr. Hopton was also involved in the restructuring of 360 Networks, a network communications company, which led to a buyout by Bell Canada. Mr. Hopton earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada and received his professional designation as a Certified General Accountant.

Thomas Kordyback
Chief Financial Officer of RepliCel Life Sciences
Tom Kordyback is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the British Columbia Institute of Chartered Accountants with over 25 years of experience in corporate finance and management for emerging growth companies. From 1984 to 1994, he held senior financial positions with Glenayre Electronics Inc. and Telelink Communications Inc. and worked as a consultant to other Vancouver area companies. In 1995, he began working for Creo, now part of Eastman Kodak Company as their Chief Financial Officer. In this role he oversaw private financings totally over $80 million and in 1999 he led the company’s Initial Public Offering on NASDAQ. He remained at Creo until 2000; at which time, the company had over 4000 employees worldwide. In 2004, Mr. Kordyback joined Extreme CCTV Inc., a developer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art surveillance systems listed on the TSX. He worked for them for three years as a director and member of its Audit, Compensation and Merger and Acquisitions Committees. In 2008 the company was sold to Bosch Security Systems, Inc. for CDN $93 million. Mr. Kordyback currently serves as a director of Silver Sun Resources Corp., a public Canadian-based resource company.

George Dorin

Mr. Dorin has 30 years of broad-based financial experience, including 15 years as a Corporate Director or CFO for several private and public companies. He holds undergraduate degrees in Science and Accounting from the University of BC, a Masters Degree in Finance from the London School of Economics, and the Diploma FCSI (Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute). A Chartered Accountant, he was also granted a CF (Corporate Finance) specialist designation from the CICA in 2008. Prior to his work in industry, he worked in the financial services sector with Ernst & Whinney (now KPMG), Price Waterhouse, Royal Bank of Canada, and with Pemberton Securities (now RBC Dominion Securities). In 2007 and 2008 he was a Senior VP Corporate Finance at Wolrige Mahon, a BC-based CA Firm. Most recently, he has been providing corporate finance, senior financial management and corporate director (including audit committee chairman) services to several industrial public companies through this own company CANUS Capital Corporation.
