I am passionate about understanding how highly productive teams quickly unlock productivity by finding the key to collaboration while other teams continue to blindly search for the key. The pursuit of outstanding results motivates me.

Through behavioral science, we (Vivo Team) create winning companies by inspiring leaders and teams to increase competence, motivation, and collaboration.

Over the past 30+ years, I have worked with thousands of companies and executives throughout North America and Europe, helping them to connect, adopt new behaviors, and become confident members of highly functioning teams.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Shift happens! Strive to have the confidence that things will upswing for the long term.

What problem does your business solve?

The disengagement crisis, and now, “The Big Quit”—also known as “The Great Resignation.”

Vivo Team encourages leaders to connect with their direct reports and next level managers in a practical manner, while supporting them with the tools they need to increase productivity and collaboration on projects.

The results? Increased career achievement and fulfillment for all!

What is the inspiration behind your business?

I was perplexed when observing and participating on project teams. Some were super collaborative and engaged, while others continued to blindly search for the key of how to work together well.

Disconnected leaders are often unaware of their impact on project results, and C-suite executives don’t understand how to measure their talent effectiveness beyond biased observational data.

We know that aligned teams, competent and motivated to commit to the 6 key indicators of highly functioning teams (communication, interactive feedback, accountability, structures, emotional intelligence, and cohesion), achieve results every time, and we measure exactly how that happens.

What is your magic sauce?

At Vivo Team, we recognize that humans are hard to decode, and that teams are even harder. But that’s our specialty–igniting and inspiring teams–making them alive, engaged, and accountable highly functioning members of society.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Ready, set, grow! Vivo Team has built the foundations and won significant industry-specific awards We want to continue that upwards progression and development, and increase our global footprint of success.

We have learners residing in 19 different countries—the world has opened up for our solutions!

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Access to capital in the start-up years was extremely difficult. We wasted time working with interested business bank managers who sit behind huge outreach marketing schemes to support small businesses.

The manager truly wants to support growth, but when it comes down to the final commitment they reveal that the bank’s policy is to invest in organizations that have EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization)—something a small business can only dream of in the early days.

How do people get involved/buy into your vision?

We always look for talent leaders in engineering and fast-growth tech who want to invest in their talent in a meaningful way; those who are looking for exciting and engaging options for their people.

We connect best with leaders who are ready to allow us to be their people partners and to drive success for C-suite, leadership, and individual contributors who are responsible for company growth and profit.
